Weiyang’s bodyguard & the one who knows her true identity – Jun Tao
Ep 14 begins with Weiyang being told by her servants (pictured below) that no one can go in and out. Weiyang tests Baizhi’s loyalty who swears that she only believes in Weiyang.Meanwhile, Da Furen talks to her daughter about her plan being on route to success. Now that the 2 princes are involved, the father wouldn’t want to risk his reputation and the only way to get out of it is Weiyang’s death.Then, it looks like it’s judgement day.
TBJ seems shock at the turn of events and then believes that Weiyang was set up, especially after seeing Changle’s smirk.
Weiyang’s identity is getting muddled with the previous madam (the one who abuses the real Weiyang) coming into the picture. Firstly, she says that this current Weiyang is the true Weiyang.Which angers Da Furen, who then threatens to kill her whole family if she doesn’t “admit the truth. Scared, this madam quickly says that Weiyang is not the real one, which angers TBJ who questions her allegations. The madam then recaps what happened and how Xin’er became Weiyang, while Weiyang turns to pity mode. The madam then says that she has evidence that Xin’er is not the true Weiyang at her house. Weiyang was then put into house arrest while they go search for the evidence.
Afterwards, Changle questions her mother and asks how did she come into the conclusion that Weiyang is not the true one. Da Furen smiles and says that she knew from earlier on especially when Weiyang brought up the disaster relief plan. Changle then smiles saying how shocked TBJ will be when he realises that Weiyang was not who she claimed to be.Soon, we see TBJ looking for a way into Weiyang’s room despite the many guards stationed outside. He looks forlorn, as does Weiyang in the next scene.Then, we see Weiyang’s mother coming into her room secretly, bringing her food to eat. Weiyang was about to confess her real identity but her mother stopped her, saying that she believes in what she sees despite what other people say. Then the mother purposely pours some water on Weiyang in order to see her birthmark on Weiyang’s wrist. After seeing the birthmark, she looks back at Weiyang with surprise as she now knows that Weiyang is not her biological daughter.
Meanwhile, TBJ questions Changle to see whether she had a hand in this. Of course, she feigns ignorance and then tries to gain sympathy saying how it is unfair that he questions her instead of Weiyang.TBJ then replies saying that he will still believe in Weiyang because she doesn’t have any thoughts about harming others. He then says that if Changle’s involved, he won’t have mercy on her…ohhhhh breaking her heart!
As he walks away, Changle runs after him saying that she remembers his words from young. my god! Stop bringing up childhood memories! TBJ doesn’t even remember them lol. Changle then cries and angrily says that it’s because Li Weiyang came into the picture that TBJ forgot about her… Confused, TBJ says that Weiyang has nothing to do with this. Of course, Changle wants to blame Weiyang for everything and then says that other than him, she won’t like anyone else before running off.
Then TBY comes into the picture smiling at the scene saying how the number 1 beauty got rejected. TBJ, being a nice guy, tells him to not mock her. TBY then asks TBJ if Weiyang is indeed fake, what will he do. TBJ straightaway says that he believes in her and if she’s fake, he doesn’t care.
Then as TBJ leaves, Changru comes and talks to TBY. She reveals to him about Weiyang’s background from being brought up in the countryside but says that she’s smart, intelligent and a good sister.Afterwards, we see another family meeting with the princes at court. One of the servants say that they have found the body of the deceased girl, saying that it’s the real Weiyang. Da Furen tells everyone that the body is Weiyang because she recognises the Li’s family bracelet which she gifted Weiyang when she was young.The father then questions Weiyang asking her about her real identity. Da Furen then orders the guards to beat her up until she confesses. TBJ stops the order which Weiyang pleaded again for her innocence. The father ignores her and asks the guard to take her away.
Then Weiyang says “STOP! Look at her foot”. TBJ orders everyone to let her speak while she explains. Weiyang says that the deceased has 6 toes and the father should know whether the real Weiyang has 5/6 toes. LOL what a funny situation.The agrees that the deceased is not the real Weiyang but then questions the bracelet. Weiyang turns the questioning onto Da Furen who looks shocked at the turn of events.
Then the real Li Weiyang appears! But how did she even survive? Wasn’t she buried by Xin’er? Xin’er gets suspicious but still pleads her innocence.
Then Weiyang’s mother arrives…Changle then adds more fuel by saying “TBJ, this girl is a liar. You won’t really believe in her right?”
Then Weiyang’s mother defends Xin’er once she realised that this was all Da Furen’s plot to harm Xin’er. She continues by saying that her real daughter has a birthmark on her arm which Xin’er does.Da Furen fumes at the sight while Weiyang looks relieved that her mother defended her, even though they’re not biologically related. The troublemakers get pulled away for punishment and I think the father suspects it’s all Da Furen’s plot.Da Furen immediately goes to apologise to Weiyang saying that she will get to the bottom of this.
Meanwhile, Changru and TBY converse about the situation. Changru says that “the fake can become real” and the “real can become fake”, but it’s not really important to her anyways. TBY was surprsised at Changru’s statement but becomes a bit more interested in her now.
Then we see that the Weiyang who claims is real was actually fake from the beginning as she pulls her mask of infront of Da Furen.Da Furen then assigns her another task, to put her mask on another girl and take on her identity.Meanwhile, Weiyang and Juntao think about how the fake Weiyang can be so similar to the real one. Juntao reveals how she thinks the fake Weiyang is using a mask as no one in the world can be so alike.Then TBJ comes along saying that he will personally look into the matter. However Weiyang refutes saying that it’s a family affair so he shouldn’t waste his time.
Afterwards, Changle complains to her mother that TBJ always support in Weiyang. But Da Furen says that Weiyang is a nobody and the Crown Princess won’t support her.Just then, the father comes in and slaps Da Furen in anger, before ordering Changle out of the room. He explains that the fake Weiyang already suicided and suspects Da Furen.He then further says that he knows it was her doing to harm his daughter but decided to give Da Furen face in front of the princes. He then says that he could have swept her doings under the table but now that someone is dead, it has become a bigger matter again. Da Furen exclaims that this wasn’t her doing but he was having none of it. He continues by saying that he always hope for a harmonious famiy but she ruins this, especially after the death of his son. Da Furen then says that it’s all Weiyang’s fault which makes the father annoyed as she doesn’t admit her faults.
He then says that he will ask his mother to allow his 2nd son to help Da Furen with the family household situation. woohoo! he’s taking away her role as the main wife and ruining her reputation within the family.Meanwhile, Weiyang meets with her mother who asks for her true identity. The mother then reveals that her real daughter has a birthmark behind her ear but none of the girls have them, which is why she supported Weiyang.
Weiyang then reveals how the real one died which shocks the mother. She then tells the mother that the real one asked her to look after her mother and to care for her. Then she lays the bomb…it was Da Furen who killed her daughter.
