SATURDAY UPDATE ON BEGUSARAI
Poonam is in Haveli when Lakhan comes there, he comes to Poonam, gives admission form of college to her and says fill it, i will submit it, he leaves, Poonam smiles. Bhusham tastes the dish Phulan is making, Lakhan greets Phulan, Phulan says may God give you some brain, he ask Lakhan to come, i have to talk to you, Bhushan gets tensed. Rekha(Bhushan’s wife) comes and greets Badi Amma and Choti Amma(Majosi), Badi Amma taunts her on her jewelry, Rekha says i will massage your feet, BAdi Amma says we dont take work from guests.
Phulan brings Lakhan at port, one man is getting beaten up there, Phulan ask Lakhan about violence? Lakhan ask what you mean? Phulan says we use violence only to protect ourselves, to protect our pride, to protect our land, property and women, like we are
beating this man so that he realize that he cant deceive me, people here call us king, i am king because i rule over their hearts, i am with them in their good and bad times but if king starts using violence to make his people upset then its not good, he shows Lakhan the couple which Lakhan robbed and injured them last night to give Poonam earrings, Lakhan is embarrassed, Phulan ask Lakhan to say sorry to that lady, give her respect, Lakhan says but.. Phulan thakur says to Lakhan that if it is about your personal life then you can decide for yourself but if it about Begusarai then only Phulan Thakur can take decision, he ask him to apologize, Lakhan nods, he comes to couple and says i did mistake, accept my sorry, Phulan gives the couple money, man says no need for it, Phulan says if we can use your respect that you give to us then we can bow to us and can apologize too, he ask Lakhan to comeback home.
all Thakur family is at dining table, they are eating lunch made by Phulan, Lakhan recalls how Phulan asked him to say sorry, Rekha ask Lakhan if Phulan scolded you only or did he beat you too? you used to butter him but what was need the for it, use your manliness, Badi Amma starts laughing and says Rekha is telling some joke to Lakhan, she ask Rekha to say it aloud so all can enjoy, Rekha says i didnt say anything, Badi Amma says good, the phone of servant(daroga) starts ringing, Phulan angrily looks at him so he breaks his phone, Priyom says that you can buy another then why did you break it? other servant says it was my phone, not his, all laughs. Badi Amma says that Poonam wants to join college, Poonam shows admission form to Phulan, Phulan ask which field you wanna choose? Priyom says she will answer in week, she want to to Ba honors in English, Badi Amma says i am proud of you, she says Poonam study very hard, she made our name otherwise all in this house used guns to get grades, Lakhan recalls how Phulan insulted him, he angrily looks at Phulan, Badi Amma says so its decided Poonam will take admission in B.A, Lakhan says what will she do by studying further? Mitlaish says what you mean?
Lakhan says what will she do by going to college? will she become governor? she have to marry and degree is not necessary for it, see your wife Maya, she didnt attend any college, but she runs this house very well, Phulan ask what you wanna say? Lakhan says you can decide anything for begusarai but this is my personal life, i dont want my would be wife to go to college, Poonam gets tensed, he says husbands decide for their wives in this house, i accept that Poonam is not my wife but she will marry me only and as her husband i dont want her to go to college, i want her to work in house, the much she wanted to study is enough to make her kids learn ABCD in future, he says to Phulan that you are king of Begusarai, whatever you decide will be done, Choti Amma says that Poonam is good in studies, its about only 3 years, let her do B.A, Phulan says all in this house have right to take decision of their personal lives and if Poonam’s would be husband doesnt want her to go to college then she will not go to college, all are saddened, Priyom shockingly looks at Lakhan in disbelief, he gets angry on him, Rekha ask Poonam to give her food, its spicy but i want to eat, she ask Poonam to serve Priyom too, Priyom looks at Poonam who is sad, she is about to serve him but he says i dont want it.
Poonam is crying in her room, her mother comes there, she wipes her tears, mother says you want to study further thats why you are sad? Poonam hugs her, mother says that parents make their kids study so that their future is good, if you are going in Thakur family as bride then you will get everything which any girl dream of, your marriage was decided earlier only, flashback shows that when Poonam was a teenager, Manjeeta and Bhushan decided that Poonam will marry Lakhan, Lakhan is elder than Priyom so its his time first for marriage, Majeeta folds his hands infront of him, Phulan says you always served us without asking for anything, its our good luck that Poonam will be our daughter in law, fb ends. mother says you know we cant find any other good match than you, its our life to serve husband and we get slangs in return but it will not happen with you, remember one thing that we women have to compromise on our dreams for our family, accept that, this B.A is nothing infront of the relation with thakur family so take care of Lakhan, Lakhan will keep you happy, Poonam sadly hugs her.
In Haveli, Mitlaish talks to his wife Maya, he ask are you worried about Poonam? dont think about it, its between husband and wife, we cant do anything, even Phulan couldnt say anything, Lakhan was right, Poonam should understand the heart thing of Lakhan, Maya says if i had asked to let me study further, what would have been your decision? Mitlaish says why moving canon on my side, Maya says i dont want my daughter to have child marriage, promise me that you will not let anyone else write her future, we will make her study till she want, Mitlaish says i promise you, i will do whatever you want, Maya smiles, Mitlaish says you smile like new bride, he comes closer to her, she smiles.
Choti Amma is worried that Badi Amma gives her work, Maya comes and ask what work? Choti Amma says nothing.
Badi Amma is on terrace, Choti amma comes there with cigarette, choti Amma says i dont like it to bring cigarettes for you hiding like this, what do you get by smoking, Badi Amma says i am enjoying my freedom, we women spend our whole life serving father, husband and kids, we can only enjoy in old age, today what happened with Poonam proved that we women cant decide for ourselves, today also men control us, Badi Amma ask Choti Amma to enjoy freedom and puff cigarette, choti Amma reluctantly puffs it, she says i know you are angry with Phulan that he took Lakhan’s side and Poonam cannot study further now, Badi Amma says this house works on decisions of men, choti Amma says Phulan did right, if he had gone against Lakhan and allowed Poonam to study further then Poonam would have to listen taunts of Lakhan and Rekha whole life, for 3 years of study, she had to suffer whole life thats why Phulan decided this, she shows Phulan walking in lounge tensed, Choti Amma says Phulan is king but couldnt decide for Poonam’s future, Badi Amma says but we have to show anger to our own people.
Priyom comes to Poonam’s house, he finds Poonam packing her books, he recalls how in childhood Poonam got beaten up by teacher for not completing homework and it was actually Priyom who had sell her copies to watch cinema, then how Lakhan beat the teacher only for beating Poonam, fb ends. Priyom says to Poonam that its your habit to not say anything to anyone, poonam says you have your date with Priya, Priyom says now my girlfriend is Jaya, Poonam says what? you changed gf in one month, Priyom says you are worrying about my gfs and what about yourself? poonam doesnt answer him, Priyom ask what are you doing with these books? Poonam says i will sell it so that we can buy new mixer, Priyom ask what are you saying? Poonam says dont talk about this, Priyom says atleast talk to Lakhan, its about your future, Poonam says no one will understand, Lakhan is right too, i will marry him and will handle house so why study so much?
i am going to be daughter in law of thakur family, i will have everything, i will not do any work, i will become fat then you will make fun of me, she gets in tears, she turns to see Priyom gone from there.
Rekha comes to Lakhan, she gives him tea and says dont think much, you did right, a illiterate daughter in law would listen and will obey to us, Rekha says you did great work, nobody could change Phulan’s decision but you made him shut up, Lakhan says Phulan robbed whole begusarai, it was fine but if i robbed a lady then i was wrong, i had to say sorry to that lady so i told Phulan that he cant rule over me, i am king of here, i made him silent but i am not able calm down, Rekha says why calm down? be angry and burn everything, Bhushan comes and says you want to be king but you dont have brain, Phulan takes you as his son, he made you say sorry so that you learn something, Rekah says for you only Phulan is right, we have brains too, we can see what is wrong, a strong one is right here and weak is wrong and my son is not weak, he proved it, she leaves, Lakhan thinks.
Lakhan comes out of home to find Priyom there, Priyom says to Lakhan can you give me lift? Lakhan says i am going for work, Priyom says you are selfish, i am your bestfriend and you cant give me lift? Lakhan says stop your drama, i will give you lift, Lakhan gets call from Mitlaish, Lakhan says Mitlaish has called me, it must be some important work, Priyom says i wanted to talk to you, Lakhan says not now.
Lakhan and Priyom comes to port, Lakhan says the way i put my stance infront of Phulan, Mitlaish must have thought that i have guts so he must have called me to give me some big work, he ask Priyom to keep sitting in jeep, he goes to Mitlaish, Priyom says God when will he get brains. Lakhan greets Mitlaish, Mitlaish recalls how Lakhan said no for Poonam’s studies, Mitlaish says its Piddi’s bday after 3 days, i have called you to prepare for it, Mitlaish says Piddi want to call some dancer from Patna in celebrations, Piddi says her name is Bindya, Mitlaish says to Lakhan that you have to bring her here, thats the work, Priyom starts laughing on Lakhan, Lakhan gets angry, Mitlaish ask why you are laughing? Priyom says you have given such a important work to Lakhan that i cant stop laughing, Mitlaish says i am sending Lakhan as he is not characterless, if i had send you then you would have not brought her here, Priyom ask Lakhan to go and do his important work, Piddi ask when will you bring Bindya, Lakhan gets angry on him, Piddi says i will show you her dance video, he plays video, Priyom watches it. Bindya(shweta Tiwari) entry is shown, she does item number Bareli ke bazaar main for her customers at bar, men splurge money on her dance.
Bindya’s assistant is counting money, manager comes, Bindya ask why you gave me 500rs less, manager says i saw you hiding money in you blouse while dancing so cut it in your salary, Bindya says people cant respect talent of mine, manager says the money which was splurged by people on stage will be mine, Bindya gets angry on him, she takes out knife, she says i get mad seeing money, she takes money from him, she says people splurged on me not on your stage, if you dance, people will not splurge money but tomatoes on you, i will not work with you, Manager says dont say like this, not be abusive, Bindya says i will beat with shoes so much that your generation will be bald, i pray that your wife run away, you die on roads, manager runs from there.
Piddi is in river, Lakhan shoots in water, Piddi says what are you doing? will you kill me, Lakhan says you are asking to run behind a dancer, Piddi says she is bindya, my love, Priyom ask Lakhan what is he doing, this Piddi is still alive? Piddi says you are forcing him to kill me, i am your brother, on your bdays, dancers were called too so why not on my bday, Lakhan says we didnt wish for any specific dancer, we will not go to Patna for a dancer, Piddi says i am not fool like you, Priyom says sometime i think what is more dangerous, that bullet from your revolver or the anger in you, why you take anger out on wrong person, Lakhan ask what are you saying? Priyom says it was Phulan who asked you to say sorry to someone but you sacrificed Poonam’s dreams to satisfy your ego, you proved
yourself very low by doing this, dont you know in which thing lies Poonam’s happiness, Lakhan says her happiness lies in my happiness, Priyom says doesnt seem so, Lakhan says i dont want to talk about Poonam, i dont like it if someone involve in husband wife matter even if it is you, Priyom is shocked, he says to Pddi that i am going to Patna to bring that dancer, he leaves, Priyom says why all stubborn are born in thakur house.
Piddi is lying on bed, Choti Amma ask how you got fever? Piddi says i fell in river, water was hot and i was cold so got fever, Badi Amma ask if fever has reached your mind too, Piyom comes and says he is trying to say that water was cold so he got hot, Badi Amma says Piddi is like a girl, Priyom says doctors are doing operations to make boys into girls, should i take him there? Badi Amma says why you are waiting then? Piddi says you dont love me.
Priyom comes in balcony and finds Poonam on her balcony too, she is cleaning the terrace, he says how much will you take to clean my terrace too, Poonam stares him, he comes to her and says you show attitude to me only, if you had shown some attitude to your husband then you would have been studying in college, Poonam says i dont want to go to college now, Priyom says dont lie, i know your heart thing, Poonam says now i will not go to college, i will deny now, Priyom says you can say no to anyone, he acts like her and makes fun of her, he says now i will force Lakhan to let you go to college, then i will see how can you say no to him, Poonam says yes, i cant say no to him, you can say no because you are a boy, live a life of a girl one day then you will understand why cant we say no, if we smile then we are called shameful, if we dont smile then we are called dull, we can see dreams but cant touch them, we are like river who want to flow but can flow only like tears, money cant buy happiness, you want to know my pain of breaking dream? its alot pain but i am afraid if i stop seeing dreams now, she leaves, Priyom looks on.
Priyom comes to Lakhan, Priyom says i want lift, Lakhan says i am going to Patna, Priyom says i going that way too, they leave for Patna. Priyom brings Lakhan to college, Lakhan says so now your girlfriend is from college, Priyom ask him to look around and see girls of college, Lakhan says i am not interested in all this, Priyom insists, Lakhan looks on, Priyom ask him to see faces of these girls, see how much happy they are here, tell me when did you see Poonam this much happy? Lakhan says i told you to not get involved in this matter, Phulan is not saying anything in this matter too, Priyom says i am not Phulan, i am your friend, we did mischievous things together, we used to get punished together, then why you are not allowing me today to say my thing? Lakhan ask to speak, Priyom says i just want to show you something, Priyom stops some girls, he ask girls why do you come to college? what will you do after this?
girl says we come to college for fun, its good to be here, we learn things here, we make friends here, we gossip here alot, we spend time for ourselves here, it feels good to be here, Priyom thanks girls, he ask Lakhan did you understand? Lakhan says girls come here to do fun only, Priyom says that only we boys have authority to do fun? cant girls enjoy? in college, girls get time to do fun, to enjoy otherwise they have no life in house, they are bounded in house, they have no identity in house but in college they have identity, Phulan said some bitter words to you and you start spitting venom on others, if Phulan wanted then he could have forced you to say yes for Poonam’s studies but he didnt, are you happy by giving pain to Phulan and Poonam? if yes then dont change your decision, but remember you will regret this whole life, Lakhan leaves from there, one girl ask Priyom should i give lift to you on my scooty, Priyom sit on her scooty and flirts with her.
Poonam’s friend says to her that we are studying together from class 1 but now you are going to college with me, why cant you talk to Lakhan, why is he so stubborn, Lakhan comes there, he ask Poonam to sit in jeep, Poonam sit, they leave, friend says what weird relation they have, he doesnt say anything and she will not ask anything, how Poonam will spend her life?
Bindya in her home is making food, she says i am great dancer on stage and servant in my house, her assistant says to her that food is stale, i will throw it, Bindya says its not stale, she smells it and says i will eat it after closing my nose, she says you dont know how difficult it is to earn money, she prays to lord that bring some richie rich in my life, door knocks, she ask assistant to open it, he says okay it mayeb some manager of show, Bindya says no, i will go, she prays that if it is some manager then she will give Parsad in mandir of rs1.5, assistant why so much less?
she says God doesnt see money but your intention, she opens the door, someone attacks her with stick, she falls unconscious, Priyom comes in, eh ask his men that what you did? you attacked her? women are made to love, to respect, he ask men to check her, men check her and says she is so beautiful, Priyom says i feel like celebrating my bday again seeing her, she is pretty, Priyom says i am celebrating golden anniversary in girls, how can i let you touch her, he ask them to drape her in sheet, they find he assistant there and ask who are you?
Lakhan brings Poonam to college, she looks at him in shock. he says get down from car, we have come here for your admission, Poonam smiles at him.
