FRIDAY UPDATE ON PRINCESS WEIYOUNG EPISODE 9-10
Weiyang returns back to the temple and sees Changle’s carriage. Knowing that she has to create a solid alibi, she quickly changed into a taoist robe before meeting Changle. After constant questioning, Changle leaves Weiyang in her room. Screen Shot 2016-11-16 at 8.10.57 pm.png
Meanwhile we see TBJ and his servant entering the place Weiyang is in, pretending that they’re here for praying. hahas!
TBJ sees Weiyang out in the courtyard and chases after her once she tries to flee to avoid him. TBJ questions her why she suddenly changed her attitude to him and she says that it was because of his identity as a noble Prince. (but we all know that’s not the case). TBJ tries to persuade her that he’s still the same person but she’s not budging. Then Changle comes into the picture, greeting the prince and acting like a good sister as she apologises for Weiyang if she offended the prince.
Then, as Weiyang was returning to her room with her servants, Changle comes in and slaps Weiyang. Her reason: because she’s too close to TBJ and warns her to stay away from him. Weiyang tried to slap her back as a reflex but was pulled back by her servant who mutters: “Stay calm”.

In the next scene, we see Weiyang writing a “Disaster Relief Policy” for the country after seeing the fights from the previous ep. She thought of this policy from her past with her grandma when she got scolded for being naughty and creating trouble. Weiyang’s servants praise her, thinking that she’s doing this for TBJ’s sake. In actual fact, she is after seeing how well he cares for his people. Then she suddenly wanted to go out for a walk to refresh her mind, and is accompanied by one of her servants. When they went out, the other servant (General Li’s) secretly copied what Weiyang had written and passed it onto Changle. Screen Shot 2016-11-16 at 8.29.15 pm.png Changle swiftly brings the “Disaster Relief Policy” to her brother (General Li) and her mother which she received immense praise from both of them.

Just as Changle was receiving praises from her father and the rest of her family, Weiyang arrives and was promptly notified of the news. Shocked, she tried to question Changle how she got ahold of the policy. As Changru recites the policy, Weiyang realises how the policy was actually hers and says that Changle stole her idea.
Changle, quickly defends herself and even put on a pity act saying how Weiyang shouldn’t lie to ruin her reputation as this matter concerns the country. Screen Shot 2016-11-16 at 8.38.17 pm.png
Da Furen steps in saying how Weiyang is not educated since she grew up from the country. And tries to make it seem like Weiyang is jealous of Changle. The father tries to get Weiyang to apologise to Changle who just walks away saying: “You’re unworthy [of my apologies]”. This infuriates Changle who throws a tantrum and throws stuff off her desk. Meanwhile, Changru goes to see Weiyang to get to the bottom of this. Knowing that Weiyang is innocent, Weiyang gratefully thanks Changru. Screen Shot 2016-11-16 at 8.49.39 pm.png She then reveals that she doesn’t care whether Changle steals her idea or not, she’s only worried that the policy has a big problem. But since no one other than Changru believes her, she can’t do anything about it.
Weiyang’s servant immediately goes to tell Changle, Da Furen and General Li about what she heard. However, they don’t pay heed and decided to ignore it as they don’t think the policy will have a problem.
Then we see the Crown Princess getting ready to go to the Li’s Household to celebrate Changle’s success with the policy. She tries to get TBJ to come along who initially refuses but then changed his mind when he knows that Weiyang is going to be there. Screen Shot 2016-11-16 at 8.55.34 pm.png
Following on, we’re taken to the Li’s Household where the celebration is taking place. Just before Weiyang arrives, all the other wives were complimenting Changle on her smartness which makes the mother-daughter proud.
Weiyang then arrives and greets the Crown Princess, stating the problems with the policy. The Crown Princess, who’s fond of Changle, refuses to hear of it even when Changru comes to Weiyang’s defence.

Then the two princes (TBJ & TBY) said that they’re interested to hear Weiyang’s opinion since it might be useful and beneficial for the country and its citizens. Ep 10: Weiyang was finally given the chance to speak her views because of the two princes, but the Crown Princess doesn’t support her views when Weiyang speaks. She immediately gets her maid to slap Weiyang and as she was ready to slap Weiyang again, TBJ stops her. Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 12.10.46 pm.png
Going against his mother, TBJ publically aligns his views with Weiyang which angers the Crown Princess.
After that, Changle goes after TBJ defending herself and saying that he shouldn’t believe that the policy was Weiyang’s. TBJ refutes saying that if its hers, then she shouldn’t worry too much about it. But Changle still wants to clear the air, saying that he should believe in her.

Meanwhile, Changru gets a mild scolding from her mother because she stood up to Da Furen and Changle, saying that Da Furen will never forgive her and let her off. Weiyang then comes in thanking Changru for standing up for her. Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 12.17.37 pm.png
Changru’s mother tells them to take care since trouble will come from Da Furen. Weiyang replies that she will protect Changru since they are good sisters.
Da Furen then makes her entrance and immediately slaps Changru’s mother. What a quick slap!

Da Furen says that this is for what happened earlier. She then asks the soldiers to grab Changru and Weiyang to teach them a lesson and to let everyone know that this is what will happen when anyone goes against her. The scene ends but not before Changru’s mother asks one of her servants to quickly get Lao Furen (the grandma) for help. Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 12.21.38 pm.png
Da Furen then asks to bring scissors in the room which Changru quickly pleads for mercy. Da Furen pays no heed and her maid proceeds to remove all of Changru’s head accessories and was about to cut her hair till the Grandma quickly comes in saying “Stop!”. Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 12.26.04 pm.png
Da Furen says that she’s doing this because Changru broke the family rules. Then she went to slap Changru harsly in front of everyone, and cuts Changru’s hair herself. Poor Changru!

Her mother, grandma and Weiyang look on helplessly as they couldn’t do anything. Just as Weiyang pulls herself free from the guards, she went to protect Changru and gets stabbed by the scissors instead.

The father then comes in shouting “Enough”, scolding Da Furen for hurting someone. She then throws the scissors away in anger and walks off. Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 12.32.42 pm.png
Then apologies come between Changru and Weiyang as they both felt sorry for each other. Their 2nd brother even says that their father brought this matter to the Emperor and since the situation has gotten bigger, he ordered Da Furen to not look into the matter herself anymore. Meanwhile, Changle angrily throws her cup as it’s all Weiyang’s fault for making this situation in a big mess, saying how TBJ doesn’t believe in her and the Emperor is looking into this matter. General Li says that he has a plan to make it seem like the policy was Changle’s not Weiyang’s.

The next day, Changru tries to avoid Changle in the garden but to no avail Changle goes up to her. Changle says how she can’t believe that Changru is going against her.

Changru replies that she only stated the truth and that she trusts Weiyang because Changle frequently has tricks up her sleeves. This earned a hard slap from Changle who then threatens that if Changru says another word, Changle will destroy her family. The hate is real.
Then we get a scene with Changle and her mother as she stating her hate towards Weiyang, saying how she’s her enemy. The mother smiles saying that she won’t allow anyone disturb her daughter and that she will deal with Weiyang. Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 12.45.44 pm.png
The father then comes in looking for General Li who’s away. Changle mistakenly believes that he came because of good news in regards to her policy. However, the father angrily scolds her saying that now it has become a huge mess as there are many casaulties because of that policy.
Meanwhile, Weiyang just heard of this situation from 2nd brother who says that both Changle and General Li will be punished because of their faults. Weiyang then says that there is hope if the Emperor will listen to her.

We then get back to the scene between Da Furen, Changle and her father whom are clearly upset at the news. The father storms off angrily while Changle looks worried. Then she exclaims that it’s Weiyang who set this up for her to be ruined. Da Furen looks frustrated and realised that the policy wasn’t Changle’s to begin with. Meanwhile, the father looks for Weiyang. He then says that he knew it was Weiyang’s in the beginning and that General Li used it for his own benefit. Yet he says that its Weiyang’s fault that her brother and sister are now going to get punished because it was her policy. Basically, he’s trying to push the blame onto Weiyang and save his other two children – what a shitty dad! So she tells him to get help from his amazing children since she was brought up in the countryside. But she then says that if he really wants her to help, he need to help her meet the Emperor. Da Furen then tries to get help from 3 other lords to help her children. However, they’re unable to help her since this matter has gotten out of hand. Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 1.01.04 pm.png
General Li then tries to enlist help from one of Weiyang’s maid. The maid refuses to hurt Weiyang but General Li tries to bribe her saying that he will send money to her mother. When she refuses again, he then says that she can go and that they will have nothing to do with each other. The servant quickly goes to him saying that her heart is all his and is already his person. He refutes by saying that since she’s his person, she should follow his orders. He then gives a small bag, instructing her to put it in Weiyang’s drink.

Then it’s time to eat for Weiyang and her servants. Weiyang then brings up the topic of marriage saying that she should help them look for a good husband and family to marry in. The servant (General Li’s) looks worried saying that she wants to stay by Weiyang’s side forever. Weiyang lets the matter go saying that they should tell her if they want to marry and that she’ll help them. Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 1.05.55 pm.png
The servant (General Li’s) then hurriedly asks Weiyang if she has any solution to the disaster relief policy and that she really wants to know. She then proceeds to poor a special wine for Weiyang saying that she purposely went to get it this morning. Just as Weiyang was about to reveal the solution the scene cuts to Changle who has been throwing tantrums all morning.
Da Furen arrives with a stoic face as Changle begs her mother for help. The mother reveals part of her plan by asking Changle to send one of her clothes to Weiyang to wear to the palace.

Changle interrupts Weiyang’s conversation with Changru, bringing clothes for Weiyang. Changle then tries to embarrass Weiyang saying that she has no suitable clothing for the palace which is why she’s so nice to make sure that Weiyang doesn’t bring any bad reputation to the Li’s family name.

As soon as Changle leaves, Weiyang throws the clothes on the floor which her servants hurriedly went to pick it up. Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 1.15.07 pm.png
Then we see Weiyang back in her room. Her servant tells her to wear Changle’s clothes but Weiyang refuses saying that she’s going to wear white. In her head, she says that she’s definitely going to avenge her family. – In China, wearing white means going to a funeral. Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 1.16.53 pm.png Then we get Weiyang dressed grandly in white as she meets the Emperor at the palace. She bravely walks in and we see faces of shock from the Emperor, TBJ, TBY and the servants due to her choice of attire.
As soon as they were going to talk business, General Li and Changle requests an audience with the Emperor who grudgingly agrees. General Li tries to frame Weiyang and says that she should be punished for her crime of deceiving the Emperor. Changle then takes her brother’s side and tries to incriminate Weiyang.
Weiyang denies the allegations and says that the policy is truly her work, and that she wouldn’t to the Emperor about this. TBJ tells the Emperor that Weiyang is not a bad person but then Changle interrupts saying that she has a witness.
Guess who the witness is?
That’s right, its Weiyang’s servant who’s working for General Li. Changle questions the servant asking her whether Weiyang sneakily looked at her disaster policy plan. The servant confirms this hesitantly.
Weiyang then asks her why is she lying since she was there when Weiyang was writing it out. She also asked what did she get bribed with to betray Weiyang in front of the Emperor. The servant replies that she’s stating the truth.
TBJ then butts in saying that she’s just a servant so she can’t be trusted.
Then General Li says that not only do they have a witness but evidence. Changle then presents the evidence saying that she found it in Weiyang’s room. However Weiyang refutes it saying that the evidence has no basis since both policies will be exactly the same. She then asks the Emperor to differentiate who’s telling the truth by listening to what they say. Knowing whether it’s the truth or lies, the Emperor will be able to sound them out. He
Weiyang then says that the responsibility lies within the fault of the Emperor which raised heads! General Li then berates Weiyang for saying such a thing. So Weiyang asked them to state their opinions first…and they quickly became silent. So she continued and managed to get the Emperor on her side.
