Oscar and Franco feel they have to forget about the revenge because the one they targeted which is Bernard is even dead but john still incite them to understand their reason for their revenge and Franco wants to know how they will go about it because as it is, john is the only one who knows mason work. john assures them he will teach them what to do during the building and through that, they will make the family taste how dead is. the three then agree to carry on with their plans to avenge their sister’s death considering how sad her death happened.
Fernando gambles and he loses to his player and now he owes him a great sum of amount which he promises to pay later. He drinks to the fullest and arriving home decides to open fire (biegya) that is make love to his wife Sofia but she disallows him stating that there is nothing that will make her love him because ever since she was raped, she can’t stand the touch of any man.
Eva remembers sadly her love making with Bernando and the day at the hacienda holding her daughter in her arms, Mrs. Gabriela took her away from her stating that she wouldn’t allow a poor person like her to cater for her own child and indeed Eva that day wonders why her madam will act that so mean to take her own child from her. she then says to herself that it’s time that Gabriela gets the punishment she deserves for what she did to her.
Fernando bribes a public notary so that he issues a document where Gabriela grants a total power of attorney to him where she of course, would not find out and seriously Gabriela never find the truth out and signs the papers thinking it’s the same deal which states only that Fernando will help her to manage things and even with that, she can take that power back in case she chooses to do so but she never.
Eva helps John, Oscar, and Franco to pretend they are the bricklayers that were hired to build the cabin that Mrs. Gabriela asked to be built and the brothers start work by building that cottage. She then asks them to not try hurting anyone as they are so much eager to take their so-called revenge but the brothers still think she can’t have a say in their decisions.
The real building engineer arrives to start his work in the hacienda but Eva tells him that Mrs. Gabriela hired new builders to do it and looking so angry and not understanding anything, the man left and refuses to come back again.
In the act, Gabriela and her daughters arrive home from their travel and Eva introduces Gabriela to him as the wife and widow of Bernando. John feels enraged when he meets her and wish he could take action on her right away but, feels dazzled when he meets Sofia and same vein, Sofia also stirs at him intently but Gabriela sensing something wrong upon seeing the eye contact the two shares, she quickly kicks Sofia out of the place. She warns John and his brothers to makes sure to not venture with her daughters if not they will have her to content with. John also asks her to not hire any other mason again because the three of them are enough to build that house for her.
Mr. Augustin feels there is something so strange about Bernando’s death but Gabriela refuses to let Fernando give any explanation because he also looks sad about his death but Mr. Augustin tells them that Brutos was a godson to Julius Ceaser but in the end, Brutos killed him so it could be Fernando killed Bernando. On the other hand, Gabriela thinks John doesn’t respect and therefore thinks will bring a great problem in the house but Don Augustin reveals to her that John is the same person who saved him from dying when he slipped downstairs with his wheelchair.
Armando, an acquaintance and worker of Fernando’s, tells him he needs to pay his debts to the gamblers if not the collectors will require the payment by force.
Since the other daughters Sarah and Jemima feels so attracted to the brothers and wants to meet them, Mr. Agustin intentionally takes them to meet the boys and he introduces the two ladies to Franco and Oscar who are also lured by their beauty. Gabriela gets down and to command them to go inside. But the children have already fallen for them.
Franco goes to see Rosario to disclose to her that he lost his kid sister and that is how come he was not coming to see her performance at the club and whiles giving him encouragement by embracing him, Armando enters the room and Rosario becomes very afraid thinking Armando will tell Fernando about it but she explains things to him that Franco is nothing to her and that she was only consoling him for his loss. She then pleads with Armando not to say anything to Fernando if not he will kill her.
John bakes bread and imaginatively, he sees Sofia’s image in it and indeed he looks so much in love with her.
