Ghaus Khan charges at the British hiding inside the mausoleum When a canon develops a hole, Laxmibai warns Ghaus Khan against setting light to it. However, Ghaus Khan hugs the canon and fires it. Ghaus Khan gets severely wounded in the explosion.
Laxmibai drags a severely injured Ghaus Khan inside the palace fearing that Capt Hugh Rose would capture him. However, Ghaus Khan breathes his last. Will Laxmibai save Jhans After Ghaus Khan's death, Laxmibai resolves not to allow his sacrifice to go waste
Rao Dulaju asks Capt Hugh Rose not to worry since Laxmibai did not have cannon balls to fire upon the British army. Moreover, Jhansi army did not know how to manufacture explosives.

Tatya Tope plans to use the route through the jungle to reach Jhansi fast and break the siege. Captain Mac learns about Tatya Tope's plan.
When starvation leads to deaths, Laxmibai recalls Chimna Bai's warning that situation would get out of hand if Tatya Tope fails to reach the fort in time.

Capt Mac marches at the head of his army towards Jhansi fort. Laxmibai is shocked to learn about Tatya Tope's death.
Rao Dulaju tells Laxmibai that Queen Victoria has insulted her. He reveals Queen Victoria's role in Damodar's kidnapping and also in the Jhokan Bagh massacre. Rao Dulaju asks Laxmibai to bow down before the British. Laxmibai asserts she has always lived with pride and refuses to surrender.
Capt Mac resolves to bring Laxmibai on her knees in front of Queen Victoria.
Moropant exhorts Laxmibai not to lose hope. Moropant tells Laxmibai that the spirit of freedom will burn in their hearts till their arms held their swords. Will Laxmibai be able to save Jhansi fort?
