WEDNESDAY UPDATE ON JHANSI KI RANI EPISODE 335-336
After learning about Ali Bahadur's escape,Laxmibai decides to go to Kanpur to ensure the safety of Gangadhar Rao. Major Ellis volunteers to accompany the queen.
The Prime Minister reminds Laxmibai about the peasant unrest in the country. Laxmibai believes the unrests are part of a conspiracy against the King.
Laxmibai, Major Ellis along with a contingent of Jhansi army proceeds for Kanpur. On their way, they meet a soothsayer. The soothsayer warns Laxmibai about the mishap which was about to befall on her. Laxmibai asserts her belief in God was much stronger than the danger faced by her husband.
Lord Dalhousie plans to assassinate Gangadhar Rao. Assailants hide inside the treasure chest to be handed over to Gangadhar Rao.
At the dead of the night, the assailants come out of the chests and kill the soldiers guarding the royal tents. Ali Bahadur warns the assailants that it was not the right time to attack the King as he was surrounded by guards.
Gangadhar Rao asks Tatya Tope and Raghunath to leave him alone as he wanted to complete the funeral rites of Damodar.
Laxmibai fears for the worst after the soothsayer's warning and prods Major Ellis to rush towards Kanpur.
While performing the rituals in the river, assailants attack the King. Tatya Tope and Raghunath get alarmed on seeing the King being attacked; however their efforts to reach the monarch are thwarted as they too come under attack.
Gangadhar Rao is stabbed by the assailants. When her nose ring comes off, Laxmibai fears the worst. The assailants leave Gangadhar Rao in the river and flee. He remembers his dead son and welcomes death with open arms.
Tatya Tope finds it increasingly hard to fight theassailants,Laxmibai rescues Tatya Tope. She lends support to Tatya Tope and Raghunath to fight the assailants.
Gangadhar Rao is found floating on the river. Laxmibai, Tatya Tope, Raghunath and Major Ellis rush towards the pool. They fish the King out of the river.
Tatya Tope and Raghunath burst into tears fearing that the King had passed away. Laxmibai gets hysterical on seeing the duo in tears and takes Gangadhar Rao's body in her arms.
Laxmibai is relieved when she detects signs of life. Laxmibai and others lift the King and rush him to the palace.
Ali Bahadhur informs Lord Dalhousie that he had succeeded in murdering Gangadhar Rao. Lord Dalhousie tells him that until the news of Gangadhar Rao's death was officially announced, his chance of being the future king was uncertain.
Laxmibai comes across the soothsayer and asks him why he was not singing his usual song. The soothsayer points out to the sky. Laxmibai understands the import of his gesture: the string of life was in the hands of God. Laxmibai is left thinking.
