MONDAY UPDATE ON JHANSI KI RANI EPISODE 331-332
Laxmibai is gripped with fear about Gangadhar Rao meeting with some mishap. She shares her fears with Moropant, who tries to pacify her.
Meanwhile, Raghunath and Tatya Tope rush to the aid of the injured king. Nelson believes Gangadhar Rao to be dead and mocks them.
At the same time, Laxmibai is horrified as she visualizes a stream of blood rushing towards her. Moropant shakes her out of her reverie and assures her there was no cause for fear.
Despite his grievous injuries; Gangadhar Rao draws up his courage and pulls down Nelson from his horse.
But the sudden burst of activity drains Gangadhar Rao of all energy and the King is saved from collapsing on the ground by Raghunath and the Prime Minister. Grabbing Nelson by his neck, Tatya Tope promises to teach him a lesson.
However, Major Ellis stops Tatya Tope and makes him understand that saving Gangadhar Rao's life was the need of the hour and not teaching Nelson a lesson.
Fearing that his end was near, Gangadhar Rao makes Raghunath, Tatya Tope and the Pradhan Mantri promise that Laxmibai will not be informed about his injuries or the skirmish with Nelson. The three courtiers promise to honor his request.
When Gangadhar Rao reaches the palace, Laxmibai requests him to attend the funeral rites of Damodar. Gangadhar Rao informs his queen that he had a more pressing work to finish. He orders Raghunath to summon the court.
When the court assembles, Gangadhar Rao declares Anand as his successor to the Jhansi throne. Everyone including Laxmibai is surprised by Gangadhar Rao's decision.
Laxmibai dreams of Gangadhar Rao's death and she being forced to lead the life of a widow. Laxmibai also dreams about an oracle warning her about the danger to Gangadhar Rao's life.
Nelson gets frantic and frustrated at the delay in announcement of Gangadhar Rao's death. Rao Dulaju assures him that Gangadhar Rao's death is inevitable and it is just a question of time.
In view of the danger to Gangadhar Rao's life, Tatya Tope and other courtiers personally guard the King's chambers. On learning about it from Rao Dulaju; Nelson plans to foment trouble so as to force Tatya Tope and others to leave the King's chamber. According to Nelson's plans, it would be the opportune time for Rao Dulaju to assassinate Gangadhar Rao.
Meanwhile, Gangadhar Rao continues in his comatose state. The Raj Vaidya informs Moropant that nothing could be said about the King's condition till he came out of the coma.
Even as the courtiers worry about the King's condition, a palace guard announces that irate subjects of Jhansi had surrounded the palace and were trying to forcibly enter. When Tatya Tope and others meet the subjects; the mob demands to see their King. The mob accuses Tatya Tope and others of trying to flee Jhansi.
The British doctor is stabbed. Summoning the last remnants of energy and spirit, the doctor reaches Laxmibai and informs her against the conspiracy against Gangadhar Rao.
As Tatya Tope and others try to deal with the irate mob battering the palace gates, Rao Dulaju enters the King's chamber and stabs him under the cover of darkness.
Rao Dulaju had tried to assassinate Gangadhar Rao under the cover of darkness. Fearing an attack on Gangadhar's life, Laxmibai waits inside the King's chamber and grabs the assailant's leg. Caught by surprise, the assassin stabs Laxmibai's hand and flees. Though she manages to save Gangadhar Rao, Laxmibai remains clueless about the assailant's identity.
Confident that he had completed his task successfully, Rao Dulaju rushes to meet Nelson, who is busy fomenting trouble in Jhansi. Rao Dulaju breaks the news of Gangadhar Rao's death. Nelson is elated.
Laxmibai appears in front of the subjects and assures them that everything is fine. The enraged mob insists on seeing the King as rumors were rife about his death. Gangadhar Rao comes on to gallery. Assured about their king's safety, the crowd melts away. Nelson burns with fury and in anger, slaps Rao Dulaju.
Laxmibai informs Gangadhar Rao how she had placed the corpse of the British doctor to mislead the assailant. Though she had failed to see his face, Laxmibai is confident, the assailant was an insider.
The Queen summons the court. Rao Dulaju accuses Raghunath for failing to protect the King. The heated argument between the prominent courtiers comes to a stop at the Queen's intervention. Laxmibai declares that she will uncover the assailant in no time. Seething with rage, Laxmibai enters Nelson's office and murders his officers. She duels with Nelson and murders him too.
Laxmibai had mounted an attack on the East India Company officials.Laxmibai spares Nelson's life after warning him that she would chase him and the East India Company out of Jhansi.
Laxmibai decides to officially complain against Nelson. She asks Major Ellis to sign the document. However, Ellis refuses to sign the document. He tries to convince Laxmibai that it was not the right way; however, Laxmibai fails to understand his predicament and walks away offended.
A royal messenger announces the Queen's intention to address the common subjects.
Laxmibai asks Raghunath to keep Gangadhar Rao away from the scheme which she has planned against the British officials.
Nelson and his officials vent their fury on the common subjects of Jhansi. Laxmibai counters their efforts and leads her army in protecting her subjects.
Laxmibai's motivating speech helps the subjects of Jhansi to chase Nelson away from the kingdom.
Major Ellis informs Gangadhar Rao about Laxmibai's plans to throw out the East India Company out of Jhansi.
Nelson has to bear the fury of violent mob for fomenting trouble in Jhansi. A terrified Nelson is chased out of Jhansi.
Laxmibai's lawyer John Lang spreads the news of Jhansi's victory by writing about it in his newspaper column.
The Raj Vaidya informs Lord Dalhousie about Ali Bahadhur, Lachcho Bai's son who was never accepted as the legal heir.
Ali Bahadhur makes a promise to himself: to make Gangadhar Rao pay for killing his mother. Lord Dalhousie appears in front of Ali Bahadhur and addresses him as the king of Jhansi.
