TUESDAY UPDATE ON JHANSI KI RANI EPISODE 333-334
Ali Bahadur is skeptical about joining hands with the British considering the East India Company's past. Lord Dalhousie convinces Ali Bahadur about the Company's intent to get him crowned as the new ruler of Jhansi. Lord Dalhousie plans to assassinate Gangadhar Rao without Ali Bahadur's knowledge.
Ali Bahadur meets Shyam Chaudhary and other prominent money lenders who have decided to extend a line of credit to the King of Jhansi. Ali Bahadur tells them not to extend the line of credit to Gangadhar Rao and asks them to join hands with him instead. He also declares that since he had Lord Dalhousie's backing, he will be proclaimed the king soon.
Gangadhar Rao gets apprehensive when Shyam Chaudhary and other lenders fail to meet him. At the same time, Shyam Chaudhary and others decide to support Ali Bahadur.
Shyam Chaudhary informs Gangadhar Rao about their decision to support Ali Bahadur. On seeing Ali Bahadur, Gangadhar Rao boils with anger and commands his soldiers to arrest Ali Bahadur.
Major Ellis appears in court and informs Gangadhar Rao that Lord Dalhousie has decided to proclaim Ali Bahadur as the new king of Jhansi since the current situationof the kingdom had become untenable. Gangadhar Rao, Laxmibai and others are shocked on hearing the proclamation.
Gangadhar Rao feels insulted on reading the document submitted by Major Ellis.Gangadhar Rao decides to meet Lord Dalhousie and ascertain the facts.
Ali Bahadur taunts Gangadhar Rao and asserts he is the future king of Jhansi. In anger, Gangadhar Rao orders his soldiers to imprison Ali Bahadur.
Laxmibai tries to stop Gangadhar Rao from meeting Lord Dalhousie but the King remains adamant claiming it was necessary to protect his kingdom.
Ali Bahadur points out to Rao Dulaju that Gangadhar Rao had committed a mistake by keeping him alive.
An oracle warns Laxmibai about the dangers faced by Gangadhar Rao.
When Laxmibai meets him in prison, Ali Bahadur declares he would be crowned the king of Jhansi. Laxmibai tries to stab him but is stopped by Rao Dulaju. Laxmibai commands Rao Dulaju to protect Ali Bahadur. As soon as Laxmibai leaves, Rao Dulaju informs Ali Bahadur that everything was going according to their plan.
Laxmibai learns from her subjects that money lenders were demanding money at a higher rate of interest. Laxmibai assures them that problems will be resolved once Gangadhar Rao visits Kanpur.
Lord Dalhousie informs Gangadhar Rao that Ali Bahadur had staked claim to the throne and had financial muscle to support his claim.
Meanwhile, Rao Dulaju helps Ali Bahadur escape from prison.
Lord Dalhousie shows Gangadhar Rao the treasure chest which had been offered to Ali Bahadur. Gangadhar Rao convinces Lord Dalhousie to sign a treaty under which the treasure chest would belong to Gangadhar Rao while the East India Company would get commisionary rights of Jhansi. Lord Dalhousie is confident Gangadhar Rao would prefer death to being humiliated at the hands of the Company.
The Prime Minister informs Laxmibai about Ali Bahadur's escape from prison.
