THURSDAY UPDATE ON IRON LADY
Indira Walking in the chandini chalk alone…she stops listening her name called and the whole sharma family is shown running towards indira . Kutumb stop her …and try to convince her to forgive them…she join her hands in request …she asks her to give a look toher family members heads which are down because of the shame of showing distrust towards her . She tells the whole family through hand action to keep there heads down and the family just follow her words . ( yeh sharma family kabhi nahi sudhregi…).She then touches her chin with love …and tells her …that she is hersweet little doll…her princess…in short " Gudiya Rani "…She should now forgive them and she should leave for her house… ( Sharma Niwas ) with them . Indira well knowing why are they doing all this…just don't speak a word and move forwards . Realizing that indira is leaving … sunaina bhabhi runs to her …and comments that may be she wasn't able to hear what her mother told as there is a lot of noise around . She once again ask her to come to house and holds her hand. Indira removes sunaina's hand andsays that she listened everything told by her mother clearly . She again starts walking without saying any further and this time she was interrupted by her brother . He stretchhis hand in front of her in order to stop her . And then without speaking anything he just hold his one ear with one hand and the other one with another hand and start the push ups in front of her . Indira wasn't expecting this .
Sunaina is really happy with what munna did…kutumbtoo felt that this was quiet a good way to convince indira . So the whole family joined munna in his pushups . ( Push ups weren't the usual push ups…sharma familyadd their effect to them . They danced between every push up ) Rishi is laughing standing behind indira looking at the sharma's unique push ups . His smile there just not reflects the happiness but cuteness at the same time . He was Awww by sharma's act . Indira is watching her family standing there . The whole family including radhe were dancing around her with their unique push ups . And at last she smile which munna noticed . And the whole family comes running towards her with happiness. Ishaan hugs her bua and the whole family surrounds her with happiness saying that let's go home now . Kutumb instructs Munna to bring the bags of indira from amma's place . Shealso includes to bring the bags of her blue eyed son in low from there . Rishi is happy listening this . Every family member is too happy . Munna is all ready to go when indira stops him . She tells him that there is no need to bring their bags . Kutumb felt bad and asks indirathat hasn't she forgiven them till now ??? (She is worried regarding why she asked not to bring bags .)Every family member shows a sad face to indira . Indaira tells that there is nothing to forgive …and i am not at all angry withthe family . And with that a broad smile on sharma's face . Indira continues explaining her reason . She says she don't want to go to Sharma Niwas because during the time shewas away from there …and was living with her husband in Amma's house…she realized she has more responsibilities in her life . The responsibilities of awife . She tells that she has now decided that she will live with her husband only like every normal girl . Sharma's faces aredown listening to her words . Rishi is happy listening her words . Indira notice their faces and points to rishi that there faces areclearly telling that they are worried about how will the family manage their meals/in and out's without money . Every family members tells a yes to her with their necks .
Indira comments that she know eachand every bit of her family members really well . And she assures them that they don't haveto worry about their meals/in and outs…because till the time she is here . She will manage that all but not from Sharma Niwas…from her new house . The family faces glowed . Indira continues that she is saying the right thing because whenever she is at home…her family disturbs her ( she meant they make her life hell ). .So might when she will not be at home…their relation sweetens . Her mother stares indira with amazement and immense love in her eyes . …She looks back and ask rishi that if she taking the right decision or not?…rishi assures her that whatever she is doing is completely right but at this time her family needs her . She reassure him that she is not leaving her family…she can take care of her family from her new house . She tells the whole family that now shehas taken the decision and she don't want any debates on it . She tells mandira to take care because she will be watching her every moment from amma's house and then asks the whole family to leave . For her the design was taken but kutumb stops her and ask she will allow this but on a condition . Indira says that even you will set condition now and ask her to come up with it . Kutumb continues with immense love in her eyes that when a daughter goes to her new house than she comes to her house with her husband for having lunch with the family . She states that she is inviting indira and rishi for lunch at their house as a mother in law to rishi and as a mother to indira . Munna agrees with her and mentions to rishi that they will eat chole .Munna through action tells rishi about drink after food . …Rishi says no through actions . Sunaina with happiness tells indira that they will eat awesome food, and will have fun . . Rishi smiles and tells sharma family that as a husband he allows indira for this lunch with her family . The whole family dances with happiness . The scene ends here .The next scene starts with a party background . Indira comes down from stairs with Kutumb and Rishi . She thanks the sardar ji for saving their kid .And for the decoration he did for the party . Sardar tells her thatshe is embarrassing him saying this and then the decoration is his need for survival as he is a wedding planner . He blesses the whole family and asks everyone to sit . Indira rishi sit on bride and groomchairs . Indira is in saree and rishi is insuit . The party continues. Kutumb takes rishi with her while sunaina tries to take indira but fails in her attempt.They all dance . Rishi comes to take indira . He makes her get up but she doesn't move to dancing area with him . She is just happy seeing everyone's happiness . And is clapping at the position she is standing with immense love in eyes . She suddenly feels low…headache…feels like falling , vomiting .She leaves from there .Someone ( i think the second show lead ).is a client of the sardar . Sardar has to plan three weddings for him . He tells that he don't want any problems and sardar reassures that every thing willbe perfect . Meanwhile munna brought drinks(desi drinks ) for all…and he made everyone in the sardar group drink . He pour drinks in their mouth from his hands even .They drink too much .
indu steps out of the hospital and is talking with herself in her mind. she says that her life is about to take a new turn. she has her reports in her hand.FLASHBACK [12hrs back]indu is reminded of rishis childish joy. he had been over the moon assuming that he is gonna b a father and asking her smile now atleast. he is shooting her on a handycam. he says he doesnt want antara - mantara now; he wants a sweet little chiku. indu doesnt like this name either. she asks him...y not a girl? rishi says that in case she turns out to be a hitler like u...it wud b a big problem. rishi says then i will marry him off...bcoz all men post marriage turn into cowards...lions turn into mice...just like me. indu closes his handy cam and asks him to go for his job interview. rishi refuses n says he will go thr tomorrow, today he will go to the doc with indu. indu says she will manage alone. indu tries to reason with him...asking him if he doesnOt go to the interview, how will he get a job, how will he earn money, how will he earn a living and take care of his wife and kid? rishi finally gets ready to go to the interview. indu wishes him luck. rishi tries to get close to her but kutumb calls her then and the moment is lost.kutumb is all decked up...embroidered dress, ornaments, . she is gonna go with indu to the doc. indu seeing her 'avtaar' screams at her and feels dizzy again. after a while indu is ok...she asks kutumb to dress up normally...but kutumb refuses. they argue over this and indu decides togo to the doc alone.munna volunteers to find her a rickshaw...whispers to kutumb he is in need of pocket money! indu is talking with herself...fondly abt her wonderful family...says everyone is with her...but yet they are lost in their own worlds. munna finds her a rickshaw and indu offers him money. munna is extremely pleased...he asks her how did u guess i needed money. did my heart speak out so loud? she says if ur hearts a connected u understand even the unsaid things. she asks him to notwaste money in drinking and gambling...says she feels a certain promise in the air...the promise of an oncoming change. munna promises her that now that indu is abt2 b a mother he will leave behind all his bad habits. he even gives her a hand into the rickshaw! she is touched. again a monologue:i feel change...the world is changing...or maybe i am...or maybe both are!
the doc hasnt confirmed the pregnancy i too wish to believe what everyone has assumed and is already celebrating. my family has changed. (she remembers rishis joy, kutumbs happiness, munnas promise).FLASHBACK [DOCTORS OFFICE]:indu asks the doctor that pregnancy reports usually come out immediately...then why has he called her again to his clinic? the doc sayshe wants to get some further tests done.monologue again: while i m doing one test after another inthis hospital, i am sure back home myfamily must be celebrating. dey juz have to celebrate with my money.rishi has a dhol slung round his neck. he starts beating the dhol and the family starts dancing. rishitries calling her but she doesnt pick up the phone. in the meanwhile kutumb n sunaina take out an old trunk and bring it out. the trunk has old childhood clothes of indu, her dolls and stuff. thr is a pair of ghungroos in it. kutumb tells rishi that indu used to love kathak....inder used to drop her at her dance classes. but since inder left the house,indu has never touched the ghungroos again. rishi says that for the next 9mths he will dance to indus tunes but after that he will see to it that she dances again.indu is sitting outside the hospital. she opens the envelope and reads the medical reports with a bit of fear as well as hope. she starts laughing out loud.FLASHBACK [DOCTORS CABIN]the doctor tells her that she has advanced brain tumor. she doesnt have much time left.
Indu is in consultation with her doc. Doc says that the vomit and dizzy sensation she is experiencingfor past few days isnot due to pregnancy, but due to brain tumour. Doc continues that the reason for this tumour is stress of today's fast paced life. Direct effect of stress falls on brain and sometimes manifest as tumour. He asks her to get admitted very soon so that they can start chemotherapy sessions. Indu says how she can get admitted as she has many works to do; she has to complete Mrs Takkar's saree order. Then doc says her to complete all works in half a day and then come to get admitted. Indu getsconfused and asks doc how she can complete all her responsibilities in half a day. She has to settle her brotherfor her SIL, she hasa sister who has to be married off, she has small niece and nephew who have to be brought up and educated, she has yet to give a child to her husband. How can all this be completed in half a day? Doc doesn't have any thing to say for this.Indu continues to doc, u said that if I had come earlier it would have been better. So tell me truthfully how much time I have. Doc tells her that she has about 30-31 days (tess ikathees). Indu asks if it is 30 or 31. Doc says that you can not say exactly how many, but she should have around 25-35 days. So she concludes around 30 days.Scene shifts to CC, where Indu is walking along.Indu's voiceover - In 30 days the sole bread winner of herfamily will be no more. Wow what a news. Today is really special (in paradox).A man with kaleidoscope is inviting all the kids in the street to lookin to his kaleidoscope. He asks them to come and look at Amithab's action, Mitun's dance and Rishi's romance.
Indu is looking at the kids looking through the kaleidescope and says, she got reminded of her childhood. Indu gets curious, she has a smile on her face and comes over and looks through. She sees her many moments with Rishi, kutumb and munna. Indu has a bigger smile on her face, she gets childish and takes a balloon kept on the stand of the kaleidoscope. She blows it in a childish glee, but it bursts as she fills it. She throws it like an offended kid. She gets a bunch of balloons from another seller and runs with it as kids chase her for the balloons. She releases the balloon and gets happy to see it fly off. She then starts bursting all the balloons of a sales man and runs off so that she won't get caught for being naughty.Indu gets and ice cream from a street vendor and starts enjoying it when she notices that a pregnant wife and her husband too are enjoying an ice cream. She dreams of herself and Rishiin their place. She is pregnant and leaning on Rishi with ice cream in both hands. On top of that she is also biting from Rishi's ice cream stick. She becomes sad, and places her hand on her tummy. She says toherself what will she do of all these unfulfilled dreams. It has started stinging on her eyes. What will she tell her husband who had become mad out of happiness in anticipation of being a father? Shethrows away her ice cream. She walks away.As she walks a young boy eve teases her. She removes her chappal and starts to show her hitlergiri and he gets scared and goes off in his cycle faster. Radhe catches the fellow and tells something in his ear. He comes back to Indu and says sorry and that he didn't know that she is the famous HD of CC.Indu's Voice over asshe walks along CC to SN - these memories, these streets, this childishness'. everything i am gonna miss. I have to tell my family about my condition. If I tell them directly they will be sad. But neither can I hide it.She decides that she has to tell the truth, but before that i have to do something else, entirely different from my thoughts and understandings.
Till then my family will have to waitAt SN everyone is waiting for Indu. Rishi is telling munna that sreemathi ji will come soon and bring happy news along with her. Radhe suddenly appears telling he has brought good news. Radhe says he is gonna become chahca and rishi papa and congratulates rishi. Radhe says that the HD who never laughs, who alwaysshowers chappals and who always threatens was laughing and giggling in the streets.Indu enters. Along with her comes Inder Sharma. His crooked smile and attitude clearly written all over his face. Every one is shocked. Munna asks how dare he come here esp when indu is standing in front of him. He says indu brought him here. Indu also confirms it. Inder says when children become parents; they know the value of their own parents. He assumes that is there as on why he was brought in to the house. Rishi gets happy hearing this and asks Indu if it's confirmed that she is gonna be a mom and he a dad? He gets excited with happiness and lifts her and swirls her in his arms. Indu shouts to stop it. They all stop their mad excitement and listens. Indu says that she is not pregnant but she has brain tumour. Every one is stupefied. She continues that she has only 30 days to live. Every one is shocked to hear this. Inder says that is not possible and acts sad. Inder says that now he understands why she brought him here. He says now on wards he is the head of the family and he will run the house. Now he won't allow his daughter to work and she can take a lot of rest. He tells indu to leave the HOUSE and also the responsibilities of the house to him. No one can dispose gods wish.Munna says he is the older son of the house and hence asks indu to leave house in his name. Kutumb says the house was in her name before so she should leave the house in her name. Mandy says she also has rights in the house. Sunaina says she has given two kids to this house. Inder asserts his right, and munna too comes along to assert his. Every one starts verbal fight.Indu shouts to stop it.Rishi asks Indu why she is shouting. What does she want to tell? She looks around coming from the trance. (Everything written in blue was indu's dreams). He asks her to take care and not to shout asit's not good for her and the baby. She again starts to faint. Rishi gets nervous and asks if everything is all right. Kutumb tells indu that she is getting scared and hence please tell what is the matter. Rishi tells Indu to please tell fast. He is not as strong as her. He is weak at heart and can't take the stress and hence please tell him what the matter is. She says that what every one thinks is true (meaning she is pregnant). Everyone esp rishi gets mad with excitement.
Indu looks at everyone who is hysterical with excitement and a sad smile forms onher lips. She asks every one to stay happy like this always. She says she will give birth to the kid only when she will see unity among members of her abnormal family. Every one smiles. Indu continues thatevery house has a head. Since she is in her in laws house now, the head of SF will be Inder from henceforth. Everyone looks doubtful. But indu says if any one has problem with this arrangement, they can go out of the house. So every one shakes their head in 'no they don't have any problem'. Inder is happy and assumes authority. Rishi smiles at her decision and tells her that the unborn child bring along luck. When he/she comes all the fate lines in her hands will change. Junior RK will make her a normal girl. What his father couldn't do, he will do. Rishi then sees the medical report in indu's hands and trys to have a look at it. But indu refuses saying not in front of every one. Rishi says ok then they will look at it in their room. Excitement continues in the SN portico as indu climbs the steps to the upper floor.Indu is in her room.Opposite her a handy cam is on and directed towards indu (not sure if indu knows it or not). Now indu talks to the camera (us).
She is removing the name strip of the medicine (syrup bottle), saying she has to do it or else every one will know about her disease. She says she has to do this. She doesn't have time, only 30 days, and she has loads of work to finish off before that. She asks us we would be thinking why she didn't tell everyone. She continues, if she had told, instead of crying they would have fought with each other. She says the house runs with the money she earns. The peace, happiness and prosperity of this family is her responsibility and that's why she had to tell lie. You also know that I don't belong among who cries, nor will I be sad, coz I am HD of CC. This time HD will also fight with death before she goes. She promises the viewers that before she goes, she will teach all the specimens of SN to stand on their own, so that they wont have to be under any one's mercy. Indu tells that we can all watch as she brings this change as the journey has just started. Now a twist has entered the story and from tomorrow on wards we will see the un sighted twist. In the next 30 days she will entirely change the face of her family. 30 days are not so long but for her it's is not so short either. Before I die will teach every one to live. She laughs.
